The playwright William Congreve said that "music has charms to soothe a savage breast. To soften rocks or bend a knotted oak." I myself was once tamed a long time ago. My favorite things are still in this past even as I'm being drawn to the present.

Show me you understand the things I hold dear...

Just want to know who was from China or around that region. I remember Hiro being from Japan and meeting Adam there. Reason I ask is that the post card is from Bhutan or of Bhutan. Why would there be a post card from there or of there in that matter.

Well maybe hes hinting that he's the one "dead", or supposed to be anyway. He's been away and not seen for a while, quite like a Mr. Arthur Petrilli one might say?????

What if the song spelling DEAD is Drunker telling us in his letter that he is ment to be dead and not many people know hes alive. He hates the company because his love was taken from him... Angela Petrelli... leaving her to make up an excuse to her sons where her father has gone. Drunker very well could be Arthur Petrelli!!!!

if you look at the two lines of the progression you'll notice that there is no (,) between the note vii7 and the note III7 this might be a typo but if that is the case then why repeat the same mistake in the second line maybe the patern is in how the lines differ from each other keep in mind that blues are played typically in a 12 bar progression

I admit to not having done research to all the other Heroes' sites, but this seems to be coming from either Hiro or Adam (since anything Hiro did in the past is considered to be done by Takezo Kensei, per the swordsmith's daughter).

Adam was the only one who was really "tamed" in the past by Hiro. He fell in love with the swordsmith's daughter, who fell in love with Hiro (another love) and she is now dead.

Also, effectively, Adam is "dead" by being stuck in that coffin.

The only thing that would make me think this would be Hiro is because Hiro was also tamed in the past by the swordsmith's daughter. He could be drawn to the present (time traveler). She is also dead, since she is the same woman.

Logically, it makes the most sense for this to be Adam. He's the only one who could survive long enough. He lost his love to another lover. She is dead. And the exploits of Takezo Kensei are from that past. When you've lived 400 years, I'm sure you have more than a few "past lives".

And Adam cared about one thing after Hiro "tamed" him: being a hero. That is one of the things he holds dear. The other would probably be loyalty, considering the reaction Adam (then Kensei) had when Hiro betrayed him along with the reaction Adam had when the original generation of "heroes" started breaking apart.

Simple.

Wow, you guys are good at figureing out this riddle! I personaly had no idea untill I read the comments. I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but, could the other notes represent those already lost? Or maybe those on a hit list? Maybe their initials? I have another theory thats way out there. (I need to stop watching crime investigation shows) I highly doubt this, but maybe the letters represent page numbers to that book that he took the quote from. I'm still trying to figure out how to find the words that he's trying to get us to focus on though... Well hopefully I sparked some ides to help figure it out!

I think the English Major on pg. 2 with the play idea is right!! The chords make sense but what would the other letters mean?? On the Play idea it would have you specificly focus on one line or statement, now all we have to do is figure out what the #5's mean and I think we might have cracked it!!

I think I know what the #5's mean!!! I read the verse that follows the riddles qoute and the fifth line says 'By Magik Numbers and persuasive sound' at this current time I really have no idea what that means, but notice, the words 'Magik' and 'Numbers' are capitilized when they shouldn't be. Also, 'Magik' is spelt wrong. Perhaps it means somthing? Hopefully you smarter people can figure it out!!

Don't know if this'll really help, but a couple things. Despite the name, "Blue in Green" really isn't a blues. It has a really unique form, but it's a brilliant song. It was released on Miles Davis' "Kind Of Blue" which is considered to be one of the most important jazz albums ever recorded. Something that immediately jumped out at me - at the time Kind of Blue and this song were made, Miles was playing with John Coltrane on tenor. One of Coltrane's most famous recordings was his version of My Favorite Things, which might explain the line in the quote and the one right before the chords. Again, not sure if this is relevant, but food for thought.
